Service 1 is a 1987 Chevrolet Suburban, and is currently being used as a RIT vehicle, carrying 2 air packs, masks, extinguishers, and equipped with 2 fire radios. Now that Utility 1 is in service, Service 1 will become a severe weather chief's vehicle, manpower hauler, and a snowplow for the winter.
